AFPA Provincial Mentorship Program Referral

Thank you for your interest in submitting a mentor referral to the Provincial Mentorship Program.
To submit a referral you must be child intervention services staff/worker.

Who can be a foster care mentor?

  • 3+ years of experience in foster care
  • Level 2 Qualification

Who can be a kinship mentor?

  • Approval of Provincial Mentorship Program Supervisor and Kinship Care Worker

How do you decide who gets into the Mentorship Program?

The Provincial Mentorship Program Supervisor/Coordinators consider each mentor application individually. If the applicant meets the qualifications, has strong communication skills and personal strengths, has experience with various aspects of the child intervention system, as well as the support of their support workers, they will be considered an excellent candidate to become a mentor.
